People are the best…and also sometimes, people are the worst. Regardless, we need people in our lives - and that requires HUMILITY. It’s one thing to “be the branch” with the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving God - but can we “be the branch” with other people? Even the ones that hurt us?

There is a right way to follow God and a wrong way…which is NOT determined by us or other “branches,” but by God Himself. You can choose to do it the wrong way -trying to be the Vine- but Jesus tells Martha in Luke 10 that there’s a better way!

Patience trusts God even over man’s promotion and teaches us that one thing always leads to another!

In John 15, Jesus tells us that “apart from Him, we can do nothing.” 

Why would we ever disconnect from the “Source of life?!” 

Because it’s hard? Or we don’t understand? Or it’s unjust?

Jesus makes it blatantly clear in John 15 that HE alone is the VINE…and we are the branches. That’s not an insult, but rather the embodiment of our God-given purpose in life! 

When “branches” try to pretend like they’re “the vine,” life gets complicated, confusing and chaotic! 

Branches have 2 functions: Remain in the Vine & Produce Fruit. 

Be the branch!

There are a lot of opinions being voiced in society today…. Proverbs 3 was written by King Solomon, the wisest person to ever live, and Canonized in the Holy Bible, making it the inspired Word of God. 

Regardless of how “right” we think we are in our perspective and grasp on life… maybe we should listen to what God tells us to do in the third Proverb.
