Episode 118 – A Conversation with Triple Boarded Veterinary Behaviourist, Dr Kersti Seksel
What an honour to have this conversation with my good friend and residency mentor, triple boarded Veterinary Behaviourist, Dr Kersti Seksel.
Kersti is one of the most inspirational pioneers of the Veterinary Behaviour industry, being boarded not only in America and Europe but also Australia.
Have a listen as we chat about Kersti's entry into Veterinary Behaviour Medicine, the early cases she saw, early use of Veterinary Psychopharmacology, and how she started to introduce veterinary mental and emotional ill health to the profession across the world.
We also talk about Kersti's love of teaching – students, residents, vets and allied professionals and how she herself learns something new every time she teaches.
We finish the conversation on a high and talk about how we both feel Veterinary Psychiatry will positively impact our patients, the profession and health on a global scale going forwards.
I hope you enjoy this conversation just as much as I did!
