Kerry Goulder like many of us, has sewn since she was little, starting with clothes for her dolls. She has taken that creative energy and developed patterns, techniques and written books on making everything from quilts to dolls. Today I'm delighted to chat with her about Doll making and her lates book 'Sewing Tales'. I used to make dolls and it is so magical. My great grandmother and great aunt used to give me hand made Barbie clothing, all packaged like they were bought from a store! I remember the magical moments of opening those gifts and I can't wait to talk with Kerry about dolls.

I love how the quilt world works. I was teaching quilting out of town, and one of the hosts told me I really should look at her friends work. Her friend is the super delightful and talented Jessica Alexandrakis who writes at Life Under Quilts.. that name alone is enough to make me jump online to see what she is about! Jessica believes we can all Quilt on the go, and I agree! Today we talk about what you can accomplish on the go and how to make it happen, plus she has a book about it 'Quilting on the Go'.

I was hooked by the title, Hand-Stitched Home. That seems to embody what so many of us feel about making things for our family, friends, and our home. Susan Beal is the author, and she writes at West Coast Crafty about all kinds of amazing topics. The fun thing about Susan's book is that it uses wool fabric in unique ways!
