On the 10th December 1994, a 999 phone call reached emergency operators. The caller did not say anything but the operators were able to hear heavy breaths. They traced the address of the caller and sent officers out to the house. When they arrived they found the body of 33 year old Dr Michael Meenaghan; he had been shot. The question became who would want to kill such a friendly and good natured person?
