JR shares stories from his early days as a session musician and recounts some of his fondest memories working with Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Rufus, Babyface, Eric Clapton, Daft Punk, Pointer Sisters, Barbara Streisand, Steve Winwood, and being the all-around “timekeeper” for some of the most iconic records since 1970s - including Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You”, “We Are The World”, the Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited," Steve Winwood's "Higher Love," Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody," and a big chunk of Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. JR is most famous for laying the disco pop foundation for all of Michael Jackson's Off the Wall. We discuss his new band SRT, building the new project and where they’re heading. JR is the heartbeat of the hits!
