12 PM ET: Weaker jobs report jitters, Harris' weekend Veepstakes, Olympic medal count & more

A weaker-than-expected US jobs report is underscoring fears the economy is slowing too quickly and could trigger a recession. The US says it’s willing to move resources to the Middle East as tensions in the region rise after the killings of Iran-backed leaders. Former President Donald Trump claims yesterday’s prisoner swap with Russia was a “win for Putin.” Vice President Kamala Harris plans to meet with potential running mates this weekend.
