120: How my client Ava pivoted from Structural Engineering to UX Research WITHOUT applying, going back to school, or taking a pay cut

Decided it was time to leave 7 years of study and work as a Structural Engineer to pursue something totally new

Carefully parsed through a huge number of job ideas, from Fire Fighting to Landscape Architecture, until she confidently realized UX Research was the perfect job for her

Used my 5 step informational interview process as the secret sauce to A) clarify what she felt called to, B) find hidden job opportunities that aren't on LinkedIn, and C) gain a huge amount of leverage to land and negotiate the role and salary

Successfully negotiated her salary, EVEN THOUGH she initially got caught off guard and threw out a low-ball number - she was still able to save it and come back strong!!
