Joseph Robert Castiglione is vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics at the University of Oklahoma. Since his arrival at Oklahoma in April 1998, the school has won a total of 19 national championships in football; softball; men's golf; men's gymnastics; and women's gymnastics. 

Joe's story is so cool because he was on the ground floor of creating the job of athletic director in Universities. He was also was on the ground floor of the importance of women's sports in America as he studied with all women at the University of Maryland. 

Being the athletic director at University of Oklahoma for 24 years in unheard of. It is one of the top 5 athletic director jobs of a major university in all of America. Joe's story is how he got there and how her stays there. He was also the AD for the University of Missouri for 5 years.
