Imagine escaping the stress and chaos of daily life and moving to a tropical paradise, even if only for a little while. You could wake up to the soothing sounds of birds singing and waves gently lapping the shoreline just outside your bedroom. For many, this is a fleeting vacation dream, but for a lucky few, it becomes a reality. This was the dream Yvonne Baldelli and Brian Brimegar hoped to achieve in the late summer of 2011. They left their lives in California behind and moved to Panama with plans to work and build a business. It was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime. When, after just a couple months,  only one of them returned to the U.S., he brought with him a trail of lies from Panama to Costa Rica to Southern California.
