"No one will take you seriously because of the size of your following on social media."

Those were the exact words that an online guru once said to me when I was working so hard to grow my business in this space.

And the thing was...they were right.

It wasn't my Instagram following that made people take me seriously.

It was my podcast.

I've been talking a lot lately on the podcast about why I've been working on stepping back more from using social media to build my business. I know that social media works really well for some people to build their businesses, but for me (and so many of us), that hasn't been my experience.

So I started to take some major steps back from social and the results have been pretty incredible.

First my engagement grew...

and then my revenue followed.
