A lot of discussion in the tower business involves the big three publicly held tower companies and what they do to support their major mobile network operator tenants.

But in the United States, there over a hundred privately-owned tower companies that provide specialized services, either in specific geographic regions or for specific customer needs. Milestone Towers is one such company. Len Forkas, Milestone Towers’ founder and CEO talks with John Celentano, Inside Towers Business Editor about how his company differentiates what it does from other tower companies.

Len also shares some anecdotes on his Antarctic mountain climbing adventure, detailed in his book, ‘Cold Hard Truth.’ Profits from the sale of the book are donated to support his charity Hopecam’s work connecting children with cancer to their friends at school.
