But then they will rip you and shake you, and throw you back onto that hallow playground all alone. Simply with the merry-go-round, going round and round.

For that is what is taking place within you at this time and within your head. For while the stars are shining above, many fireworks are taking place. It's almost as if you're running around in circles. Just like a merry-go-round, but it's your feet that are taking you from here to there. You're feeling the rising pulse, the tension in the air.
