Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Weather”. “Weather” is one of the common topics in small talks so practice shadowing with me, and be ready to talk about the weather. If the weather is the subject, adjectives are very limited. Most likely we use “good” or “bad” and we can’t use adjectives such as “beautiful”. If today is the subject, we can use adjectives such as “hot” and “cold”.

How is the weather today?　今日の　天気は　どうですか？

-The weather is good.　いい天気です。

How is the weather in London?　ロンドンの天気は　どうですか？

-The weather is not good.　天気が　よくないです。

How is the weather in Tokyo?　東京の　天気は　どうですか？

-The weather is bad.　天気が　わるいです。

It’s sunny.　はれです。

It’s sunny.　はれています。

It’s cloudy.　くもりです。

It’s cloudy.　くもっています。

It’s rainy.　雨（あめ）です。

It’s raining. 雨が　ふっています。

It’s snowy.　雪（ゆき）です。

It’s snowing. 　雪が　ふっています。 

It’s cold.　さむいです。

It’s cool.　すずしいです。

It’s warm.　あたたかいです。

It’s warm.　 あったかいです。
