16. Three Tools for Self Regulation

What does it mean to self-regulate? What does it mean to be dysregulated? When we are dysregulated we may feel emotionally or sensory overloaded. We may be overwhelmed or get easily irritated. We may also find our thoughts and emotions are running wild. This makes it hard to focus and we may have brain fog. We may even feel the need to isolate or find ourselves looking for ways to soothe ourselves that are not beneficial. Many people turn to destructive patterns like over eating, over drinking, excessive shopping etc...Being dysregulated can even lead to illness.

Good news is we can self-regulate by using the tools mentioned in today's episode.
These tools help us be best equipped to run the race with peace and all the emotional resilience that comes from taking thoughts captive, processing emotions and living in love and forgiveness.
It helps you show up how you really want to!
