Journaling is an unsung hero. It may seem simple but it can have a profound impact on your mental health.

It causes us to get those thoughts that are rambling around in our brain out of the dark and into the light. It helps us see them in black and white. It can be part of how we take our thoughts captive rather than being captive to them. It even has physical benefits like lowering cortisol. And as you take your thoughts captive, you will develop more emotional resilience which also improves your mental health.
