You are about to witness the return of the Elfling herself to the show for the first time ever! Ladies and Gentlemen, Its Laurelle Rethke, performer, healer, and curator of the Faerie Den crystal shop in NYC. I knew she would be perfect for investigating the deeper themes of the scene in "Under the Silver Lake" where Sam brings a gun to a hut and meets the Final Man and his three brides. And she was! She is!
Laurelle and host Phil talk about what parts of the film were spooky, why she remembered UTSL as a bunch of scenes with pretty girls in them, and then we got in deep on the Moon. We dive like dolphins into the Moon's glades of significance - as a tarot card, as a temple, as a tempest temperature taker. We wander across the wonderland of the body's bioelectric fields , feet like salmon zodiacs transform into the apostles and figure out how many snakes Ophiucus is holding. We cast lines to catch the queen of the Fish Tower, Mary Magdalene, and slather on the nard to understand how the Ladies of the Hour applied the medicine. And we wonder about mystery witches wandering Mu....
