The Post Relevant Podcast returns to stride through the 2026 Lions Gate, as well as a solar and lunar eclipse, only to time travel back to 2025 during the LA fires in order to memorialize their fearless leader of coffee and cherry pie, the legendary David Lynch.

This decode was originally recorded in January 2025, immediately following the death of DL. Hosts Phil and Justin wax poetical about the passing of a man so influential he has become an adjective (Lynchian) and dig deep into their love of the man and his art. Its an intense talk. Then they dig into decoding Twin Peaks: the Return episode 10, aka "Laura's the One."

The Post Relevant Podcast is a secret brought to Earth through the wise Owl, handed off to a cadre of Hawks, red-eyed demon dogs, an army of Deer, an Air Force of Vultures, and borne to the foot of the the mystical Blue Heron, who blesses every episode and eventually drops them beneath the Blue Moon into the ears of local Rabbits. The Rabbits leave each episodes of the show on listener's doorsteps, wrapped inside an acorn shell encased in flower petals. Its a cottage industry, but very efficient!

Twin Peaks: the Return: the DECODE returns with an interpretation of episode 9! Its a 'no-bells-and-whistles' soft reboot of our show, originally recorded in January 2025 at the beginning of the LA fires. Appropriate for a Twin Peaks podcast, and strangely synchronous for our current "Year of the Fire Horse" in 2026.

Hosts Phil Ristaino and Justin Epifanio recount Justin's first-hand experience surviving the Los Angeles inferno. Then they go in deep into trying to explain TP:TR episode 9. Statements are made, like "Its a fucking morgue!" And they are not wrong. Cutting questions are posed, like "When did he lose his marbles?" Insights are given, like "When the dog got his cat's eyes?" Tammy poses. Chad huffs and puffs. William Hastings yearns for scuba diving and mixed drinks. All the while, the disembodied head and decapitated body of Major Briggs looms large, holds clues, and rings like a monastery bell. We discover much!

Throughout the show, Phil recounts stories of being visited by different wild animals while exploring the city of Nashville TN. Its another trippy show! Hope you enjoy it - I didn't mean for it to be over 3 hours, but, well, there you go....

The Post Relevant Podcast is proud to present the second half of our epic decode of Twin Peaks: the Return episode 8 (the nuclear explosion episode). Hosts Phil Ristaino and Justin Epifanio are joined by Peter C Hine and Stephen James Buckley, the hosts of the Vayse podcast (a podcast about weird stuff), as conversations criss cross into a maelstrom of magical ideas and unfulfilled conclusions. Wade through the nuclear chaos and back into the past with the 4 of them while they discuss frog-moths, dirty toothless bums, pennies as good/bad luck, gold globs, the Tao, Laura as Jesus Christ, the White Lodge, and how everything looks like the moon from the bottom of a well. Does oil-stained Abraham Lincoln ever get his light? And what exactly does "The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within" mean, anyway? We. Can't. Figure. It. Out!

Imagine a world where computers are made of ants! Nature's robots! Are you imagining it? Are you? ARE YOU?

The Post Relevant Podcast season 3 proudly presents: Twin Peaks: the Return: the DECODE episode 8: Birth Of (the) Bo(m)b.

Ever since host Phil Ristaino started recording decodes of Twin Peaks: the Return with his buddy and co-host Justin Epifanio over a year ago, they (we) were keenly aware that this day would come - that they (we) would one day arrive at the legendary EPISODE 8 of the Return. Yes, that episode. The one with the nuclear bomb. The one where Mr C dies. The one with the gas station. The one where Judy pukes up Bob. The one where the Fireman and Señorita Dido create the Laura Palmer golden orb in the White Lodge. The one with the 'Gotta Light?' guy. The one where the girl eats the frog moth in her sleep. The one where maybe the greatest episode of any TV show ever was created, delivered, and absorbed by Twin Peaks fanatics and surrealist dreamers worldwide. That episode 8. Well... we tried to decode it. Well, the first half, at least.

In this epic-sode, Phil and Justin's decode is intertwined with a conversation between Phil and the hosts of the Vayse podcast, "a podcast about weird stuff." Stephen James Buckley (of Polypores fame) and Peter C. Hine have been Twin Peaks fans for the last 30 years or so, and they've been itching for an excuse to talk about TP: the Return. They swoop into the PRP drop zone with hot takes, theories, interpretations, and deep fandom. The combination of all four brains causes ripples of realization across the episode as multiple universes collide like ants scuttling over ones and zeros on a solid state hard drive (also made of ants - remember?) And, again, we only cover the first half of TP:TR episode 8.

The Post Relevant Podcast has emerged from its magical initiation and is now riding on the wings of the podcast's spirit owl across the astral realms. We are also simultaneously roaming the streets at night to catch other wild owls to collect more wisdoms for our wisdom sack. We are ALSO whistling into the ether as a call to the heavens to unlock a space in a wall that has no door. But wait, a key has arrived in the mail.... the key of Bee! (it might actually be a box of bees, let me put this box in the freezer and maybe it'll quiet down)

Welcome back to the PRP season 3: Twin Peaks: the Return: the DECODE episode 7. Hosts Phil Ristaino and Justin Epifanio put their ears to the wall in hopes of deciphering episode 7 of Lynch and Frost's magnum opus. Does Diane think 'Fuck You!' means 'More coffee?' Why does Gordon Cole have a framed image of a flying ear of corn? How does Mr C intimidate the Warden with a simple mention of 'Joe McClusky?' Who digitally painted out the windows on the FBI's plane? When is it appropriate for Dougie to 'squeeze his hand off?' We're trying to answer these questions and more, honest. We thought we heard the answers coming from one side of the room, near the lamp, but when we go over there, it sounds like the answers might be coming from the other side of the room. Its just plain weird.

Plus! Justin breaks down Dougie's instinctual FBI action moves. Also! Lots more amazing Polypores music! So Rad! And even more! Wherever that humming sound is coming from, I gotta say, it is making us all feel so JUICY.

June 1st, 2025 has arrived. We all knew this day would come. 2000 years ago, when the first western savior was born to a virgin in a manger beneath the Star of Bethlehem, the prophecy was set in motion: "Yay, verily, a special child would rise again when the world of shadows most needs him. This savior of the 3rd age wouldst appear impossibly from behind the door of red, in the Court of Lancelot. His name shalt be known only as "Sonny Jim." And Sonny Jim shalt be back on in. " And now it has finally come to pass....

Join Post Relevant Podcast hosts Phil Ristaino and Justin Epifanio as we decode Twin Peaks: the Return episode 4.
