In this episode, I have the pleasure to talk to Garry Lever Sensei about his martial arts journey and exploration of Goju Ryu Karate, fitness, mental health and his core value of integrity.
Garry Lever is a Goju Ryu practitioner and founder of The Karate Collective. He is viewed as a controversial figure in Okinawan Karate due to his outspokenness and refusal to accept dogma.
A former police officer of 17 years, 13 of which were spent in the riot squad, and still currently active in Muay Thai & BJJ as a competitor, he has a unique background when it comes to keeping karate functional.
