Lindsay was elected as the first woman on the leadership committee of the American Salvage Association. She was appointed its first female President, where she was responsible for the growth of the organization, working with members, and up keeping relationships with USCG, SUPSALV, NOAA, BSSEE, and Congress amongst other tasks.
