The Nature of Invisible Things

1.8 The Return to Beauty with Astrologer & Teacher Amanda Moreno

Listen Later

In the eighth episode of The Nature of Invisible Things (TNIT), I am pleased to welcome Amanda Moreno (she/her), one of my first astrology teachers.

I studied with Amanda for four years, 2020-2023, and appreciate her grounded approach to astrology. We discuss several things, but one of my favorite sections is her studies of apocalyptic imagery on the human psyche and using astrology and ritual to help folks process and make meaning from it. Amanda's perspective offers us a thoughtful invitation for the times we’re in and the times to come. She also shares a rite of passage she experienced when moving into astrological client work and teaching as a full-time practice.

We also talk about the importance of self-care in addition to community care, the need for connection, and slow ways of processing.

Welcome Amanda!

Amanda’s Bio

Amanda Moreno is an astrologer, soul worker, witch and educator based out of Seattle, WA. She obtained her Master’s Degree in depth psychology in 2012 with a focus on how astrological ritual can help folks transition through apocalyptic rites of passage. Amanda’s blend of astrology is evolutionary, queer, psychological and socially conscious. Her practice centers the relationships not just between practitioner and client but between humans and the lands, waters, spirits, ancestors and other beings.  She practices a form of cathartic past life regression work, somatic psychosynthesis and teaches courses that help folks lean into their own ways of knowing. Amanda’s greatest joy is supporting clients and students in their process of connecting with their spark of genius for the sake of healing the soul of the world.
