It was a wonderful Christmas present for Reds fans as Chris Wood's hat-trick gave the Reds all the points against the striker's former club. Nuno Espirito Santo made a number of changes to his team but targeted pace down the wings and got a deserved win as a result.

Rich Ferraro is joined by George Edwards to discuss the view from the away end and a happy, if long, day for the Forest fans. We get a Geordie view from Jack of the Toon Under Podcast, and we also try and reflect upon what went right, and how the new Head Coach can make sure it wasn't just a flash in the pan.

The headlines for Nuno's first game were dominated by the referee, who dropped an enormous clanger by sending off Willy Boly and then compounded it (alongside VAR) by not giving anything when Adam Smith handled the ball whilst in the area. Unfortunately the upshot is that, like last year, Forest gave up the lead at home to Bournemouth and ended up on the losing team.

Steven Toplis hosts the discussion with Baz and Tom Newton, with the Reds' lack of defensive solidity and the goalkeeping conundrum as hot topics. Can ex-keeper Nuno make a difference? We also welcome Jon Sparks from Cherries Red Army with a view from the away end.

For our 25th podcast this season, we reflect upon the tenure of Steve Cooper, who was today sacked as Head Coach of Nottingham Forest. We discuss the highs of his time in charge, and why we loved him; we also think about the reasons why results have declined and what might have gone wrong.

With Nuno Espirito Santo expected to be confirmed as the new Forest Manager, we talk about the potential reasons for his appointment, and what he might bring - we will have more on this later in the week, after his appointment is rubber-stamped.

Presented by Rich Ferraro, with a panel of Steven Toplis, Maradona of the Midlands, Tom Newton and Baz, with Ellie, Adam and Producer Romeo. We'll be back with your Friday 5 before the Bournemouth match report

Despite a creditable performance, it was another home defeat for the Reds as they lacked quality in both boxes. Richarlison scored in first half stoppage time before Dejan Kulusevski embarrassed Matt Turner to double the lead. Yves Bissouma's red card could have offered Forest a lifeline, but Harry Toffolo and Neco Williams were unfortunate to be denied by visiting keeper Vicario.

Rich Ferraro is joined by Baz to discuss the game, with a view from the away end by JP from The Cheese Room Podcast. As well as discussing the game, we have to talk about the elephant in the room - relegation is now a plausible threat and the Head Coach's position looks increasingly precarious with each week without a win.

Steve Cooper went for seven first team changes to stop the rot, and to an extent it worked as the Reds showed a better level of performance and effort to gain a point - and it could have been three as Harry Toffolo should have added to his first-half header which would surely have seen Forest get the win.

Steven Toplis is joined by Tom Newton to discuss a game which saw Cooper go back to basics, with the fans once again showing their love for the Head Coach. Rich Ferraro also chips in with his views of the pragmatic approach, and we get a view from Molineux from Dave of the Talking Wolves Podcast.

It was nothing short of a disaster at Craven Cottage, as Forest produced arguably the worst performance of Steve Cooper's tenure, leaving the Head Coach looking nervously over his shoulder. Two goals each from Alex Iwobi and the Ghost of Raul Jimenez, plus a closer from Forest-supporting Tom Cairney, frankly embarrassed the Reds on a night with no redeeming features.

George Edwards and Steven Toplis share their thoughts after a deep breath and a night's sleep. What does this display tell us about the commitment of the players? Do the Forest supporters really back Steve Cooper? And was the gaffer's apologetic wave at the end an acknowledgment that the end is nigh?

Losing one home match feels unlucky, losing two in a row feels like something else. The Reds were deservedly defeated in a game where the first goal was clearly going to be important, and after the referee and VAR didn't spot a clear penalty on Ryan Yates, Dwight McNeil made the breakthrough.

Rich Ferraro is joined by Maradona of the Midlands and Adam to discuss a day when nothing really worked for Forest, and the fans booed the team off on 90 minutes, with some accusing the players of a lack of desire, and the gaffer of a lack of ideas. The view from the opposition comes from Mike Richards from The Unholy Trinity Podcast.
