Gerald "Gerry" Butts is a renowned Canadian political strategist and formerly, the most powerful non-elected person on Parliament Hill. He is recognized for his influential stint as Principal Secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from 2015 to 2019, shaping key domestic and international policies of the modern Liberal Party platform. Butts also led World Wildlife Fund Canada as President and CEO, emphasizing his commitment to environmental sustainability. Gerry currently serves as Vice Chair of the Eurasia Group, a global political risk consultancy.
