A special edition of Indie Rock Talk brings on guitarist of the infamous Tooth and Nail band, Joe Christmas (influenced by bands like The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr. and Codeine). Russell shares his perspective of the early Tooth and Nail days, which included their debut of Joe Christmas’ Upstairs Overlooking and followed by sophomore release North to the Future.  We talk about the flack Joe Christmas received from Christian “music fans,” for the band not being Christian enough, we hear how these guys initially  connected to Tooth and Nail Records and we get an inside scoop of who these guys were as people when they weren’t rocking that noisy garage sound indie flavor.
