This is a movement that began in the 1980's and 90's in religious environments all over the U.S. to encourage sexual abstinence, modesty in dress, traditional gender roles and virginal purity.

As 33 year olds, we are still untangling some of the negative side effects from our psyche.

Today Chase + I discuss the history, dangers, potential benefits, our experience of purity culture, and what we intend to do differently with our future child.
