Greetings, Congregation! This is a very special episode, and I am honored to share this story with you. Jason Duncan, former host of Not Your Pastor's Podcast, has recently lost his father to an opioid overdose. Jason's father was a pastor from the 80s and 90s and struggled with alcoholism, and then found his way to opioids due to migraines. After attempts at sobriety, he was in a car wreck and broke his sternum, placing him in the crosshairs of addiction yet again. At the end of his life, he was taking suboxone and drinking alcohol, and had co-occuring diabetes. This would prove fatal. Jason wants people to remember his father for who he was-- not what his addiction had done to him. I believe this is a powerful message to those healers out there who need healing themselves. Jason wrote an article about this very story, and please take the time to read it. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fjason-duncan.medium.com%2Fjust-another-overdose-d43c33bf7976%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3RuNTPk4S4PRhe0v8CU5F7qMIK43VFJSlNVQSB7iu4nUM3J_g3m9YjZTY&h=AT2QOpbEpuGLwuwM_hQxOQ1XaZQJgEqhQBA2sr-uWxtrk9X41eIfIQhGO4SJ1OUM0WFfJmyLH1YG3XKFNb_phL4q8yJwGTVJrHiMnL18JCMsaTOl4r8jl8G91lQGnkVOIuA [email protected] patreon.com/churchandotherdrugs storefrontier.com/churchandotherdrugs
