Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “A, and then B. / B after A.”

To describe an event after which another thing happens, you can use the Te-form of a verb + “から”.

For instance, if you were to say “After taking a shower, I'm going to have a beer.” you can say, “シャワーを浴びてから、ビールを飲みます”.

After cleaning my room, I'm going on a trip. 部屋を掃除してから、旅行に行きます。

I work after drinking coffee. コーヒーを飲んでから、仕事します。

I close the windows and then I go out. 窓を閉めてから、出かけます。

After brushing my teeth, I go to bed. 歯を磨いてから、寝ます。

I buy cakes and then go to my friend's house. ケーキを買ってから、友達の家(いえ)に行きます。

After taking a walk, I eat breakfast. 散歩してから、朝ごはんを食べます。

I will go to Japan after studying Japanese. 日本語を勉強してから、日本に行きます。

I'll clean up the kitchen and then cook. キッチンを片付けてから、料理します。

After reading a book, I go to bed. 本を読んでから、寝ます。

After doing my homework, I play video games. 宿題をしてから、ゲームします。
