みなさんこんにちは、かなこです！今日のシャドーイングは「～ながら」です。

今回のPodcastは、スヴェンさんの提供でお送りします。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “A while B”.

When you perform two activities at the same time, use “～ながら” to connect two verbs. “ながら” follows a verb stem.

For instance, I listen to music while cleaning. I can say “音楽を聞きながら掃除します。”

I eat dinner while watching TV. テレビを見ながら晩ご飯を食べます。

I shower while singing. 歌いながらシャワーを浴びます。

I read a book while drinking coffee. コーヒーを飲みながら本を読みます。

I watch a movie while eating popcorn. ポップコーンを食べながら映画を見ます。

I take a walk while I'm on the phone. 電話しながら散歩します。

I talk with friends while having lunch. 昼ご飯を食べながら友達と話します。

I watch the news while getting ready. 支度をしながらニュースを見ます。

I read the newspaper while brushing my teeth. 歯を磨きながら新聞を読みます。

I stretch while watching YouTube. ユーチューブを見ながらストレッチをします。

I sing while cooking. 料理しながら歌います。
