みなさんこんにちは、かなこです！今日のシャドーイングは「受動態（じゅどうたい）」です。今回のPodcastは、オードリーさんの提供でお送りします。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Passive Sentences”.

If someone does something to you and you feel "sadness, anger, or embarrassment" use the passive sentence with yourself as the subject. For example, if you are angry because your sister ate your cake, you can say, 「妹にケーキを食べられました」.

However, there are some exceptions. For instance, being invited to a party or being introduced to someone simply means that someone other than yourself is the action maker and you are involved in the action and does not include feelings of anger or sadness.

I was laughed at by strangers. 知らない人に笑われました。

I was bitten by a mosquito in the park. 公園で蚊に刺されました。

I got caught in the rain. 雨に降られました。

I was invited to a relative's wedding. 親戚の結婚式に招待されました。

The person I like asked me out on a date. 好きな人にデートに誘われました。

A friend introduced me to her family. 友達に家族を紹介されました。
