Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Something is done by someone and that state continues”.

You can use the te-form of a verb + the helping verb ある to describe a situation in which someone has done something and the state continues.

For example, if someone has put dinner on the table earlier and it’s ongoing, the situation can be described like this.「晩ごはんがテーブルの上に置いてあります。」
