Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “I want something”. When you want something, use “Something が　ほしいです”. This is different from when you want to do something, so use this form only when you want friends, pets, things, and so forth.

For instance, if you want a house, it will be like this “家がほしいです。”.

I want a pair of Nike sneakers. ナイキのスニーカーがほしいです。

I want to have Japanese friends. 日本人の友達がほしいです。

I want to have friends of the same age. 同い年の友達がほしいです。

I want a bag from UNIQLO. ユニクロのバッグがほしいです。

I want an iPhone 15. iPhone15がほしいです。

I want a car. 車がほしいです。

When I was a child, I wanted a dog. 子供の時、犬がほしかったです。

When I was a child, I wanted a bicycle. 子供の時、自転車がほしかったです

When I was a child, I wanted a Totoro stuffed animal. 子供の時、トトロのぬいぐるみがほしかったです。

When I was a child, I wanted a Tamagotchi. 子供の時、たまごっちがほしかったです。
