For our second episode, we sat down (via Zoom of course) with James Averdeick. Back in 2003, James began his founder journey, starting and building one of the best-known dessert brands in the UK, GU.

Having sold GU to Noble Foods in 2010, James dabbled with other ventures but knew he wanted to get back into food. Since founding The Coconut Collaborative in 2014, James has led them to become the UK's fastest-growing dairy-free brand, and has expanded into Europe and most recently, the US. 

We spoke to James about how he brought chocolate fondant to the masses, his TV career and how to build a business from scratch.
