Kurt Cobain was heralded as a spokesman of Generation X and is considered one of the most influential musicians in the history of alternative rock. His band, NIrvana, found global success defining a genre of music known as grunge. During the last years of his life, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction, depression, and a tumultuous relationship with his wife, Courtney Love. Famously a member of the tragic "27 Club," on April 8, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle at the age of 27. While police ruled it as a suicide, there have long been many conspiracies about what really happened and why.
