For seemingly endless months before the release of the Nintendo Switch, it seemed like we spent nearly every episode talking about rumor or patents of what was then known simply as the NX. With the Switch's successor, the opposite has been true. Until now... VGC broke the news from multiple reliable sources that Nintendo's next hardware launch is schedule for the second half of next year, but details about the system remain scant. What do the guys think/hope Nintendo has in store for their follow up to one of the best selling console of all time? We also got word this past week that Ubisoft has seemingly canceled the sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising, much to the chagrin of the guys. Is Ubisoft's reliance on Assassin's Creed going the way of Activision with Call of Duty? It sure seems that way...
The year and a half long drama surrounding Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard King is FINALLY seemingly at its end, as the FTC lost their court battle to block the deal from proceeding. While it is not yet officially official, the guys take stock of what this means for Xbox, PlayStation, and video games as a whole moving forward. On the heels of their win in court, Xbox also announced the death of Xbox Live Gold and its rebranding as Game Pass Core. (Which is definitely one way to increase Game Pass' subscription numbers...) Other topics include Kevin beating FF16, Sean getting the Platinum in Rogue Legacy 2, their spoiler-free thoughts on MI Dead Reckoning Part 1, and lots more!

2023 has already been one of the greatest years in video games history, and with the release of Final Fantasy XVI, that trend continues. Sean has nearly beaten the game, while Kevin is around 10 hours into it, and they both give their spoiler-free thoughts on the game so far. They also cover a surprisingly awesome Nintendo Direct, with a few announcements that were tailor-made for the guys!

The six-year-long wait is finally over, Tears of the Kingdom is here! It sits as one of the best reviewed games of all time, and the guys are here to go over all of their thoughts on it after about 15-20 hours so far!
The guys have both finished Jedi Survivor, and they are here to give their spoiler-free thoughts on the game as a whole (they loved it). They also do a final hype check with Zelda just hours away, talk through a very weird interview with Phil Spencer, and discuss the sad news that Sony has shut down PixelOpus.
