Biden's solid - and some even say impressive - debate performance somehow touched off a strange controversy about Biden's fitness for the office...(?) and his ability to beat Trump in the general election...(?).
All this smacks of Trump interferance in the election process - which by the way is probably a federal crime or something and should be added to his LONG list of felonies - and a news media that is either gullable or complicit.
Given SCOTUS's recent decisions which exempt Trump from any sort of prosecution whatsoever, for the rest of his life, we begin to wonder why the Democrats are so concerned about optics that they won't get in the mud and get a win every now and then.
The political right uses RAW POWER. The Democrats are so concerned about what's best for ALL Americans, and so afraid of bending a rule here or there, that they just wind up looking naive and foolish while the Republicans change laws, break laws and trounce the poor silly law-abiding Democrats. This needs to stop.
Believe me, we will have plenty to say about the events of last Saturday (that's what we're officially calling it, btw, "Last Saturday," because, you know, maybe it should've been someone's LAST Saturday; actually, that's unofficial at this point) but this episode is focussed on the strange reactions to the debate and what we can easily surmise as the cause.
