We've been celebrating this entire month as the walls have continued to close in on 45. The IMPEACHMENT has been beautiful in every way. We've treasured every single moment, although, tbh, I missed most of it. I did get to see the incredible testimony of 3 of the professors who provided irrefutable evidence that the president had committed crimes here. It's like, what does it take for you people to grasp this concept... Your President is CORRUPT. Now, pull on your bigboy panties, get him out of the White House and, finally, let's move on. Witness after witness has testified to the effect that, Yes, there was quid pro quo. These things are understood between the parties involved, and, duh, are seldom actually stated point blank. Yes, there was bribery. This isn't too hard to understand, Trump had something of value which he offered for the right/wrong behavior. Done deal, right? How much proof do you need? The Republican Congressmen who defended Trump... I almost feel sorry for them. Is it possible to be, you know, in Congress and NOT understand, like, the law? But no. They're just doing what they're told, because, in the end, Republicans are always a pack beast. They attack in a pack, they think with their leaders' brains, they don't excel at critical thinking. And that's kinda why, in this moment, Nancy can't turn this solid and painstakingly built case over to the dipshits in the Senate. But she'll get the trial she wants out of them, she'll make sure the Senate trial is not only more than fair to Trump, but fair for the American people, who have endured the chaos of this presidency and now deserve to see it definitively end. Forever. And to know that the bad man will never bother them again.
