Welcome back! Today, I decided to push back this week’s Driven Lesson because it didn’t feel right when our nation is in upheaval, cities are burning, and hearts are broken. Because this week, in lieu of the George Floyd protesting, my heart feels heavier than it has for a long time, and I wanted to address that.
Instead, I’m going to share a little bit of my perspective and an essay I wrote in hopes that it resonates with you.
What is most important for me to encourage today is that we begin having uncomfortable conversations, we begin talking about the prejudice or ignorance that we’ve had towards the black community and start finding our way to the middle.
First, we must listen, to the voices who haven't been heard for centuries. And then, we must talk so that we can come together.
If you would like to further discuss any of this, come hang out on Instagram or send an email to [email protected].
Be safe.
