Fall camp is on the horizon for the 2019 Clemson football team as the defending champions set their sights on back to back titles for the first time in school history. The Tigers exceeded expectations two years ago after the departure of Deshaun Watson as the 2017 team made it back to the college football playoffs, only to be eliminated in the semifinal by eventual national champions Alabama in an unsuccessful bid to repeat. But this years team is following a different story line as it returns QB Trevor Lawrence who, along with RB Travis Etienne, has put the Heisman on the minds of folks in Tigertown. And while the loss of the Power Rangers and turnover at linebacker leaves question marks for a Clemson defense that has a lot to prove, talent abounds and we’ve seen this story play out before.
