Despite that, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy did his best to put a positive spin on the returns. And less than 24 hours after the polls closed, President Joe Biden reacted to the latest Midterm election results. On Twitter, President Biden posted a picture of himself congratulating Democratic candidates. Ballot initiatives to protect access to abortion and even expand it passed across the nation. Pro-life groups were hoping for a landslide but that is not what we're seeing today. Political Correspondent for Catholic News Agency's Washington DC Bureau, Edie Heipel, joins to report more on this. And it was a triumphant night for Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman, after the new senator squared off in one of the most heated and most watched races in the entire country. He beat opponent Dr. Mehmet Oz managing to flip a Republican-held seat. Author and Professor of Political Science, Dr. Paul Kengor, joins to discuss his reaction to last night's results both in Pennsylvania and across the board. Finally this evening, a few minutes before the Holy Father's weekly talk to pilgrims, he blessed a statue in St. Peter's square. The statue highlights the plight of the homeless. The artist, Timothy Schmalz, joins to tell us more about this new sculpture.
