Dr Jennifer Green is an award-winning Public Health Administrator. Earlier this year, she was the recipient of the 2025 American Medical Association Award for Outstanding Government Service in the Career Public Service at the State or Local Level Category. In addition to managing the pandemic response, Dr. Green oversaw the opening of a Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic at Fort Liberty, expanding access to critical health services for mothers and babies.

JAY TOLAND, Finance Director Cumberland County Schools.

 Cumberland County Schools has released its recommended Budget for next school year. The nearly 650-million dollar budget includes recommendation of a $14 million increase in local funding, which would go directly toward strengthening compensation for teachers, support staff and school leaders. The budget is currently under review by the Cumberland County Board of Education. The Board is expected to consider any adjustments and vote on the proposed budget on May 13. Once adopted… it will be submitted to the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners for consideration.

Judge King was appointed the bench by Governor Perdue in 2009, and was elected to a full term in November 2010, and November 2014.

He’s requested Cumberland County Representative Richard Hudson (District 9) and Representative David Rouzer (District 7) attend the proposed meeting on Tuesday, April 22 from 4pm – 6pm at VFW Post 6018 on Chance Street in Fayetteville. The event will be moderated by Mark Yarboro. So far… no word if either Representative will be in attendance.
