Walt Disney World has made so many new announcement about things coming in 2024. Today's podcast goes over all five of the big announcements from yesterday at the changes that are happening. All of this is speculation exactly how it's gonna go but we're going to revisit the way that it used to be ants, impossible predictions for what it will be in the future.
🎫 Date-based tickets will no longer require a park reservation. Most Walt Disney World tickets give you a booking window when you purchase a package. Now you do not have to worry about what park to enter the system. – I will wait to see how this affects military tickets.
👌Good to go days! AP holders will have more days where they do not need a reservation, either! This means that during peak season and holidays, more than likely, reservations will still be required for AP holders.
🍝 DISNEY DINING PLANS are coming back – I will do a deep dive today on this, and we can only speculate on price and what this means for guests.
🎢 Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours are here to stay! This is wonderful for any guest staying at a Disney Resort, giving you the advantage of having more time at the Disney Parks.
🧞 Changes to Genie+ are coming!! If you remember, FastPass+/FastPass allowed you to book three rides before you got to the park. Do I think this will change strategy – no, not really. I think the Sell Out Order will be the same. But what will change is that you can plan your day a little bit better.
Here are my predictions:
🧞On-site, guests will get some advantage to booking 1 – 3 rides ahead of time at the 60-day window. (My guess is probably 2, what is your guess?) Disney has been really pushing to show the advantages of staying on property.
If you have a park reservation – possibly an ability to book? I don’t know how that would work, so this is just a wild guess to help off-site guests.
🧞Then I bet the 7 am booking will still be there – but it will not be as big of a rush if you have already gotten your top-priority rides.
🧞ILLs are not going anywhere! It’s too big of a money maker, and I can’t imagine it going away!
