Tracy Vegro brings a wealth of experience & leadership to her role as Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Before assuming her position at CISI in September 2022, Tracy held influential executive roles at prominent regulatory bodies. Notably, as Executive Director of Strategy and Innovation at the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), she drove the implementation of the SRA’s corporate strategy, overseeing pivotal areas such as innovation, regulatory policy, and education. Her impact was similarly profound during her tenure as Executive Director of Strategy & Resources at the Financial Reporting Council, where she led multifaceted teams focusing on strategy, risk management, HR, communications, and economics.

Recognised for her outstanding contributions, Tracy was awarded an OBE in the 2020 New Year Honours list for her services to business and diversity.

Tracy's dedication to professional development is evident through her participation in programmes such as the High Potential Development Programme, as well as through numerous secondments, including a pivotal role at the co-operative group, where she played an instrumental part in implementing governance reforms.
