In This Episode:

Synopsis: Do you ever look at someone and wonder what's going on inside their head? Well we get to see what's going on inside the head of 11 year old Riley Anderson as she copes with growing up and later on moving from Minnesota to San Fransisco when her father accepts a new job. Inside Riley's head we see her emotions play out, including Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear. 

After moving to San Fransisco, things start to go downhill for Riley when Joy and Sadness accidentally get sucked out of headquarters and Riley is left to fend for herself with only fear, anger, and disgust to guide her. Joy and sadness travel through Riley's long term memories and different islands of personality, learning a lot about each other along the way. They race against the clock to try to prevent Riley from making the impulsive decision to run away from home. 

As Joy, with Riley's imaginary friend Bing Bong recognize how important sadness is to Riley getting the help she needs, they overcome incredible odds, and Riley's memory dump to get back to headquarters and save Riley from making a terrible decision.
