In this episode, Dr. Tarryn MacCarthy speaks to a fellow dentist, Dr. Parul Dua Makkar, about dealing with grief as she shares her brother’s story by posthumously honoring him through his book, Life Interrupted: Dr. Dua’s Survival Guide. Dr. Parul also shares how she dealt with the loss and how it changed her as a dentist and as a person.

Dr. Parul Dua Makkar has completed her DDS from the University of Oklahoma and a GPR from Staten Island University Hospital. She brings over 15 years of knowledge and experience with her. Prior to moving to New York, she resided and worked in Calgary, Canada. Her aim is to address all her patients' concerns that brought them to her and help them leave with a smile. She has 2 little boys that keep her quite entertained. She loves to read, collect stamps, and travel the world with her family in her spare time.
