At Christmas we celebrate the incarnation, or becoming human, of the Son of God. In order for salvation to take place, the eternal Son of God put on flesh and became a man. But why is the incarnation such a pivotal and beautiful part of the Christian faith? Why did it have to take place like this? Was there another way God could save humanity without becoming humanity?
