みなさん こんにちは、かなこです。きょうの シャドーイングは助詞の「も」です。今回のPodcastは、クリスさんの提供でお送りします。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Particleも”. Particle “も” is used like “too” or “also” in English.

You always need to see what has been changed in the second sentence. If the subject or object has been changed, you can simply replace the particle “は・が・を” by “も”. If the goal of the movement, the location, or the time has been changed, you can add the particle “も” after the particle “に・へ・で”.

I bought Americano at a coffee shop.　 カフェで　アメリカーノを　買（か）いました。

I bought a muffin at a coffee shop, too.  カフェで　マフィンも　買いました。

I studied at home.　 うちで　勉強（べんきょう）しました。

I studied in the library, too.　 図書館（としょかん）でも　勉強しました。

I did yoga at home.　 うちで　ヨガをしました。

I did yoga at the park, too.　 公園（こうえん）でも　ヨガをしました。

I cleaned my room.　部屋（へや）のそうじを　しました。

I cleaned my kitchen, too.　キッチンのそうじも　しました。

My friend came to my place.　 友達が　うちに　来ました。

My parents came to my place, too.　 両親（りょうしん）も　うちに　来ました。

I listened to Japanese music.　日本の音楽（おんがく）を　聞きました。

I listened to Korean music, too.　 韓国（かんこく）の音楽も　聞きました。

I was off today.　 今日　休（やす）みでした。

I was off yesterday, too.　 昨日も　休みでした。

I had work today.　 今日　仕事（しごと）でした。

I had work yesterday, too.　 昨日も　仕事でした。
