Lechia-Polonia Gdańsk existed for 3 years following a merger, but after one of the merger clubs re-established their own team, Lechia-Polonia Gdańsk was abandoned and left as a shell club.

Budapesti VSC have had 15 name changes, and despite once being a powerhouse in Hungary, are now plying their trade in the lower leagues.

Both clubs frequently changed their identities, offering an interesting insight about how this affected attendances and fan identities.
