The distance between realization and actualization is growing and growing.  We can picture the fire but we can't light the flame.  That would mean standing up from our chair.

The old the common sense of democracy was if we have the facts, we can act.  But our sensory experience of a thing has been blown up and filled with attention-manipulating vibrating light, a bubble the size of Grand Central Station, and we float around inside its delicious weightlessness. Nonsense wars, raging political corruption, and an international rash of data centers - are tragedies we watch, and nothing we can act on.  I'm getting a dopomine rush typing out these words. I need to GO OUTSIDE.  Earthalujah!
