I bought a church...
Well, technically, I rented a church, but it sounds much more dramatic when I say I bought one. It's actually the building that we secured to start a second business, and boy, this ride has been wild!
I've chatted about this whole process quite a bit with some of the amazing women I work with, but I've been itching to dive into it on the podcast because it's been one heck of an adventure—opening a second business, and one that's totally offline.
So, behind the scenes, for the past couple of months, I've been knee-deep in a project to reclaim the keys to an old church. Yep, it's been standing tall since 1890, right smack in the downtown core of my neck of the woods.
Now, I know what you're thinking—what does snagging an old church have to do with online business, Jan?
Stick with me, because I'm about to spill the beans and dive into some of the strategies we've been using for this project. And get this, we're flipping the script a bit—we've been using online tactics to launch this offline business!
Yep, you heard that right. While I usually dish out advice on using offline techniques to kickstart online ventures, this time around, we've been pulling out all the online stops to get this offline biz up and running in record time.
So, buckle up, because I'm about to spill some juicy details and share how I've been mixing things up strategically with this new community hub that we've launched called, The Pews.
