Rory and Phil visit Switzerland and Germany for the first time in an episode which is merger-heavy.

FC Malcantone Agno were formed n 1955 and spent most of their existence in the 3rd and 4th tiers of Swiss football. In 2004 they merged with the bankrupt FC Lugano to keep them afloat. They still exist today.

ESV Ingolstadt can trace their origins back to 1912, when they existed as a general sports club. They went through many mergers and name changes, and in 2004, merged with local rivals MTV Ingolstadt to form FC Ingolstadt 04, who still exist today.
