He recalls seeing jet black smoke form next to his bed, and then a mysterious hooded figure appeared from within the smoke. Curtis details this experience, and others, with the same entity. He also shares a story of missing time from when he was young and another child - who seemed just “different” - led him away. Eight hours later, he returned without any recollection of where he had been.
